 Prof. Boglárka Koller
Programme Director

Boglárka Koller is a full professor, Jean Monnet Chair, and head of the Department of European Studies at the University of Public Service, Budapest. She graduated from Corvinus University, Budapest, with a degree in economics in 1998; she also holds an MA in Nationalism Studies from the Central European University (CEU), Budapest, and an MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Her primary research areas include the history and theories of European integration, differentiated integration and multi-speed Europe, and Europeanization in Central and Eastern Europe. She has numerous publications on European integration, including three books: Nemzet, identitás és politika Európában (Nations, identities and politics in Europe), L’Harmattan, Budapest, 2006.; Európa utazása – The Voyage of Europe. History of EU integration; co-author with Krisztina Arató, Gondolat Kiadó, 2015; Képzelt Európa – Imagined Europe; co-author with Krisztina Arató, Balassi Kiadó, 2013; and several journal articles and edited volumes. Recently published an edited volume with Alexei D. Voskressenski: The Regional World Order at Lexington, USA, and contributed to L'Europe, une fracture á retardement volume edited by Violaine Delteil and Xavier Richet, L’Harmattan in 2019 with a chapter ‘Differentiated Union. The Only Way Forward or One That Leads to Desintegration?’ Her latest co-edited volume, The Political Economy of the Eurozone in Central and Eastern Europe, will be published by Routledge in July 2021. Annamária Kitta
Project manager

Head of the Office for Talent Management and Scientific Skills Development, former head of International Office at LUPS. She obtained her Bachelor’s at the University of Nyíregyháza, and her Master’s at the University of Pécs in the field of Humanities. She is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in international office management, project coordination, and language teaching. She has proven expertise in managing EU-funded projects such as Jean Monnet Actions, Erasmus KA2 and CERV.  She is adept at organising large-scale international events and navigating cultural differences to build strong global partnerships. She is fluent in English and French and demonstrates adaptability, empathy, and integrity while working, handling multiple complex tasks efficiently.

Zsófia Szathmáry
Project assistant

Currently working at the Office for Talent Management and Scientific Skills Development at Ludovika University of Public Service. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in History with a specialisation in Museology from Eötvös Loránd University and her Master’s in Cultural Heritage Studies with a focus on Cultural Diplomacy at the University of Szeged. She has extensive experience in coordinating university-level research scholarship programmes, managing talent development initiatives, and supporting EU-funded projects such as FRANET. Her professional background includes roles in government administration and international mobility programmes, as well as organising large-scale academic and cultural events. She is fluent in English and Italian and demonstrates strong organisational, communication, and intercultural skills.
