Project Vision

Inspired by Jean Monnet’s words, “Europe will be forged in crisis and will be the sum of the solutions adopted for those crises,” CORE treats crises as opportunities to strengthen European integration. The project introduces an innovative 4 Ps modelPolicy, Politics, Polity, and People—to analyze and enhance EU resilience.

Strategic Objectives
  1. Advance Research Excellence

    • Establish 6–8 European Studies Working Groups (ESWGs).
    • Develop innovative methodologies for studying EU resilience.
    • Publish at least 6 peer-reviewed articles or book chapters.
  2. Innovative Teaching and Learning

    • Launch a MOOC: “The Story of Europe and Current Challenges.”
    • Introduce a new BA course with interactive debates.
    • Provide PhD supervision in 2 Hungarian doctoral schools.
    • Create Open Educational Resources (OER) for wider access.
  3. Networking and Knowledge Hub

    • Build an Expert Database and sign 6 cooperation agreements.
    • Attend 6 international events and report outcomes.
    • Establish a European Studies Hub for academic and policy dialogue.
  4. Dissemination and Public Engagement

    • Launch a dedicated project website and social media presence.
    • Organize 15 stakeholder meetings, a TED Talk, and a high-school competition.
    • Publish findings in scientific journals and accessible formats.
KPIs and Measurable Outcomes
  • Research & Publications:
    • 6–8 working groups established.
    • Minimum 6 peer-reviewed publications.
    • 6 academic seminars (two per year).
  • Education & Training:

    • 1 MOOC launched with 8–10 chapters.
    • 1 new BA course accredited and delivered.
    • OER database developed and shared with non-EU Studies students.
    • 9 student satisfaction surveys analyzed and published.
  • Networking:

    • Expert database created and updated annually.
    • 6 collaboration agreements signed.
    • Participation in 6 international events.
  • Dissemination:

    • Project website and social media channels active.
    • 15 meetings, 1 TED Talk, and 1 youth competition organized.
    • Media appearances and outreach to underrepresented regions in Hungary.
  • Impact Assessment:

    • 24 KPIs tracked across research, teaching, networking, and dissemination.
    • Final Impact Evaluation Report delivered at project end.
Timeline & Milestones

Year 1 (Dec 2024 – Nov 2025)

  • Launch project website and social media channels.
  • Establish European Studies Working Groups (ESWGs).
  • Develop MOOC structure and start content creation.
  • Create Expert Database and sign first cooperation agreements.
  • Organize first academic seminar and stakeholder meeting.

Year 2 (Dec 2025 – Nov 2026)

  • Launch MOOC on Moodle platform.
  • Introduce new BA course and conduct first student satisfaction survey.
  • Publish initial research outputs and organize two academic seminars.
  • Attend international conferences and expand network.
  • Host high-school competition and TED Talk event.

Year 3 (Dec 2026 – Nov 2027)

  • Complete OER database and share widely.
  • Publish remaining peer-reviewed articles and final research reports.
  • Organize final academic seminars and stakeholder meetings.
  • Deliver Impact Evaluation Report and final dissemination activities.
Key Milestones:
  • Month 3: Project website live.
  • Month 6: ESWGs operational.
  • Month 12: MOOC structure finalized.
  • Month 18: MOOC launched.
  • Month 24: BA course accredited and delivered.
  • Month 30: OER database completed.
  • Month 36: Impact Evaluation Report submitted.
Expected Impact

CORE will strengthen European Studies as a multidisciplinary field, foster pro-European attitudes, and bridge the gap between academia and society. By targeting scholars, students, policymakers, and the public, the project contributes to a resilient, innovative, and united Europe.
